Demonstrations and question and answer with Prof. Pfefferkorn and students working in the Multiscale Metal Manufacturing Processes Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Manufacturing process that will be shown are friction stir welding, friction surfacing, laser polishing, metal 3D printing, and smart cutting tools with temperature sensor embedded in the cutting edge.
