The Chamber of Commerce and local manufacturers in & around Sabetha Kansas are partnering to host a manufacturing day event for junior and senior H.S. students from surrounding communities on October 5 (this date is more conducive for the manufacturers and the schools than the 7th which is a Friday). Approximately 375 students and sponsors are slated to attend. The day starts with a welcome given by Congressman Jake Laturner. Next, students will tour 4 of the local manufacturing businesses in Sabetha and later have a chance to visit a career & education fair set up at The Main Event Center on Main Street Sabetha. Local manufacturers and at least 5 local colleges and universities will have booths and displays at the fair focusing on careers in manufacturing.
