*** An Interactive, Engaging Exploration of Manufacturing Careers for 8th, 9th and 12 Graders ***
Polaris MEP and the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association will host a kick-off event for Manufacturing Month that will offer Rhode Island high school students a "taste test" of manufacturing careers.
Younger students may find the experience influences their learning pathways. Seniors will learn more about post-HS opportunities.
WHAT:
A highly interactive and fun career event! Stations throughout the Providence venue will give students a chance to
* code a cobot,
* begin reverse engineering a part with 3D scanning technology,
* solve a puzzle using Lean thinking,
* "paint" fabricated metal via VR goggles,
* build a tower by applying standard decision-making processes,
* and more.
WHEN:
Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Buses can drop off students beginning at 10am and pick up at 12pm.
