Ottawa County Business Advisory Council: Ottawa County Career Showcase

The OCIC and Ottawa County Business Advisory Council hosts the Ottawa County Career Showcase event each year at the CMP Competition Center at Camp Perry. The event brings in over 500 9th grade students from school districts throughout the county. Students are challenged to engage in activities with the exhibitors in an effort to help students explore the skill sets necessary to obtain careers in Ottawa County. Businesses normally present a number of engaging activities for students including donning/doffing PPE, safety relays, athletic training and physical therapy challenges, pipefitting races, team building exercises, CNC and robotics operations, chemistry experiments and more.
