Capital Area Manufacturing Council
Dear Principals, Teachers, Counselors, Coaches, Group Leaders and Student Mentors,
Capital Area Manufacturing Council (CAMC), in partnership with CAMW! T3 invite your students to participate in Manufacturing Day - Week 2026—a national celebration designed to give students an exciting, firsthand look at modern manufacturing, where creativity, innovation, and technology come together.
The Experience:
To ensure a high-impact day of discovery, all participating students will tour two separate facilities with lunch provided. While the majority of our tours are scheduled for October 1st and 2nd, we understand the complexities of the school calendar; exceptions are available for those with conflicting school-related events.
Custom-Fit Logistics:
We are committed to nurturing the local talent pipeline by making participation as seamless as possible. We will work to accommodate bus availability, travel times, and specific curriculum needs. For teachers leading trade-specific courses, we will make every effort to match your students with related companies—connecting classroom theory to career pathways.
Placement & Participation:
We are incredibly fortunate to have a wealth of world-class manufacturers right here in the Greater Lansing and Mid-Michigan region. We aim to inspire every "future creator" by showcasing the diversity of our local industry. Please note that placements are made on a first-come, first-served basis. While we strive to accommodate every request, we ask that classrooms remain open to the wide variety of location options offered to ensure all students get a chance to see the industry in action.
The Scale of Our Mission
We are proud to host the largest Manufacturing Day activities in the State of Michigan and one of the largest coordinated efforts nationally. Each year, we welcome over 800 students into our local facilities, providing a massive, unified look at the strength of Mid-Michigan industry.
Participation & Accessibility
Target Groups: High School, College, and Adult Education groups are preferred for these tours. Options for younger student groups may be available upon request.
Our Commitment: We aim to make this day accessible for all participants. Please share any specific accommodations that would be of help to your students so we can ensure a productive and inclusive experience.
We understand your headcounts and travel times may adjust in the Fall, we can adjust as needed. Tell us your intentions today, and we will find your best fit!
