Wurth Electronics ICS is a powertrain part provider to large commercial vehicle manufacturers in the agricultural, forestry, and construction spaces. We assemble our custom orders here onsite in Miamisburg, Ohio, at our bright and modern facility. With a staff of just over 60, we are small but mighty: we are a part of the Wurth Group, an international organization of companies founded in Germany.
This will be our fourth year offering a tour for MFG Day, and we have welcomed high schools such as Valley View and Fairmont in previous years. This year is just as special as we will be expanding our tour and offering more activities and demonstrations than before. Participants will gather in our classroom before dividing into small groups for a focused tour of each station on the circuit. Following the tour's completion, we will meet back in the classroom to review and recap what we have learned.
Our special emphasis on engineering career paths makes this experience ideal for high school or college students. Ideally, they are interested in mechanical or electrical engineering with a focus on design and/or program management. Hear from our operations, sales, quality, engineering, and production departments while learning how they all interact to support our engineering services.
