Manufacturing Day (MFG DAY) is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. This is an event designed to encourage students to learn skills that can be applied to employment in the manufacturing industry and beyond. The day is an opportunity for manufacturers to highlight what's happening on facility floors, showcase the potential of modern manufacturing, foster interest in manufacturing careers, address collective challenges, and help communities and future generations thrive. Upper Valley Career Center travels to has participated in this annual event for over 10 years. Below is a suggested schedule to accommodate UVCC students as our business partners OPEN their DOORS! 2023 REPORT: Over 630 students from Upper Valley Career Center and Satellite programs in Piqua, Ohio traveled over 348 miles to 17 different manufacturing facilities to learn what our business partners manufacture in Shelby, Miami & Montgomery Counties. From aerospace, automotive, recreational travel trailers, modular homes, refuse disposal trucks and equipment, garage door springs, rolled steel, heavy plate weldment for steel mill equipment, robotics automation, can making industry and processing equipment.
