“Behind the Factory Door: Real Talk with Manufacturing Professionals” TechSolve – the SW Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership - is collaborating with Supply Chain OKI and West Clermont High School - to host a panel of manufacturing professionals. Students will have the unique opportunity to learn about Ohio's #1 Industry Segment as well as ask questions they've been hesitant to ask in typical settings such as: "How much money do you make?" "Are you happy at work?" "What should I know before I enter the workforce?" QR Codes will be provided to the students for them to: 1. Learn more about U.S. Manufacturing, Ohio Manufacturing, and Clermont County Manufacturers 2. Download profiles of the manufacturers’ organizations that are participating and include information such as: Brief Organization Descriptions and their website URL; a list of what positions exist at their company including brief description of their job responsibilities, salaries, and their insurance benefits; a list of unique intangibles that make it a special experience to work at their organization e.g., opportunities for frequent training and development, community volunteer opportunities, employee recognition programs, bonus programs, employee empowerment to conduct daily continuous improvement and/or product ideation, flexible shifts to encourage work | life balance, employer paid lunches, gym memberships, corporate gardens, mental health support, first year success coaches, environmental initiatives, transportation assistance, childcare assistance, pet friendly workplace, concierge perks, on-site professional book libraries, and game lounges. The students will then have a chance for one-on-one meet and greet opportunities with the panelists and organizers.
