The Greater Memphis Chamber's Manufacturing Day Kick-off celebration will be at Hyosung Hico in Memphis Tennessee on Friday October 4th 9:30-12:30. They will host local students by giving them a company overview, tour and providing lunch.
The second company that we will tour on Friday October 4th is Blue Scope Coated Products. They will host educators and offer tours as well immediately following our tour at Hyosung Hico.
This is a Greater Memphis Chamber initiative to introduce students and educators to the manufacturing industry. We know that students "can't be what they can't see". So we are committed to helping them to see the manufacturing industry as a viable career pathway.
We have invited our local leaders to the event to help us celebrate our month long celebration of Manufacturing in Memphis. We will tour 8 companies in October with a combination of students and local educators. We will highlight what's made in Memphis.
We have confirmation from The President of Hyosung Hico, President of The Greater Memphis Chamber, President of the West Memphis Chamber, Memphis and West Memphis School Superintendents, Manufacturing Day Sponsors and local community partners.
