A manufacturing tour for local educators. The event will offer the Westmoreland Fayette Workforce Investment Board's "Teacher in the Workplace" program a venue for local educators to tour our manufacturing facilities. The program provides local businesses the opportunity to collaborate with public educators from K-12 institutions, career and technology centers, and post-secondary organizations to strengthen career readiness, pathway opportunities, and classroom instruction for students' future success. During the tour, General Carbide seeks to showcase real-world applications of the STEM concepts students learn in the classroom.
