City of Tucker Georgia and Tucker High School: Tucker Manufacturing Day
The City of Tucker has created a yearly celebration of local companies in a Manufacturing Day event. Since its inception in 2018, we have built ongoing relationships with manufacturers such as yourself, Pepsico, Briggs & Stratton, International Paper, ITW Pro Brands, Crespac, Prime Meats, SteelMart, and Sugar Bowl Bakery. The event was designed to bring together the manufacturers and to bring them to our small business owners, developers, real estate brokers, and the public to see what manufacturing brings to Tucker, and how modern manufacturing has transformed over the years.
In 2022, we modified the format and the city collaborated with Tucker High School as part of our initiative to attract talent to the manufacturing industry and in Tucker specifically. This joint venture was designed to showcase the depth and breadth of career opportunities there are in manufacturing. Also, to dispel old stereotypes of manufacturing jobs from eras long gone by.
On Oct. 12, 2023, we are again teaming up with THS to host a Manufacturing Day event at the school. We welcome all City of Tucker Manufacturer to be represented at this FREE event.
