Industrial Arts Institute, Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, Moran Iron Works: MFG Day Tours

Area schools are provided with an opportunity to tour the Industrial Arts Institute, Northern Michigan's Premier Welding & Fabrication Trade School to learn about programming that prepares students for successful and rewarding careers in the industry. They will learn about youth welding outreach academies, corporate upskill training, and an employer-modeled post-secondary comprehensive welding and metal fabrication program offered through the trade school. Their next stop of the tour will take the students to the Moran Iron Works manufacturing facility, a national leader in custom fabrication, specializing in work for power, marine, industrial, and hydro markets.
