Grow Manufacturing Initiative: Girls in Manufacturing Summer Camp: Empowering the Next Generation of Women in Manufacturing
The Grow Manufacturing Initiative (GMI) and Butte College Advanced Manufacturing are happy to announce that registration is open for this summer’s Girls in Manufacturing Summer Camp. This transformative camp aims to inspire and empower young girls to pursue careers in manufacturing while breaking down gender stereotypes.
This skills camp will expose students aged 10-16 to Manufacturing related skills, equipment, and processes. Students will create, build, and take the final product home. Throughout the camp, participants will have the chance to collaborate with industry professionals, educators, entrepreneurs and other campers.
The camp curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including design thinking, product development, quality control, and the integration of technology in manufacturing. Participants will get hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and equipment, enabling them to develop essential skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking.
