LIFT: Manufacturing Day

LIFT, the Department of Defense manufacturing innovation institute, will host Dr. Lander, the President’s Science Advisor and Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) who will speak virtually to Detroit high school students as part of national Manufacturing Day - discussing opportunities and careers in advanced manufacturing and the importance of the industry for the U.S. including the nation’s defense and economy. LIFT will then host a virtual tour of it's 100,000-square foot Detroit facility where the institute is Driving American Manufacturing Into the Future Through Technology and Talent Development.
