Chattanooga Engineers Club, Hamilton County Schools, Million Women Mentors: Global Center for Innovation tour

In November 2019, Hamilton County Department of Education announced the collaboration space at Chattanooga State. the GCDI is a primary division of our Digital Fabrication Ecosystem of Ideation (entrepreneurship), Creation (digital fabrication), and Production (manufacturing). The new space will provide classes, workshops, and events for HCDE students. Located on the second floor of the expanded CETAS building at Chattanooga State, The Center is where ideation, creation, and fabrication will collide with entrepreneurship in the world’s first K-14 teaching and learning fabrication lab. The lab will enhance STEM education through digital fabrication that will develop product ideas to answer real-world problems and an agile workforce prepared for jobs of the 21st century. The labs will foster collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
