Faurecia Virtual Columbus MFG Day

Toyota Material Handling, Cummins, Faurecia and Lindal will be Co-hosting the 2021 Virtual Manufacturing Day event. This event is designed to “open the doors” of area manufacturers to give the people a chance to see modern manufacturing as the fun, fast-paced and high-tech career choice of the future. In the past we have all handled this separately and in our own way. This year we want to present a more united message to show people that our collective interest is to grow our community and to provide meaningful, long-term careers for anyone in the region. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, we won’t be able to do an in-person event, but the sponsor companies have worked together to create an interactive website where the student can gain access to manufacturing. The activities include videos from different manufacturing professional explaining a day in a life on their position, Digital scape rooms to learn about manufacturing and the local companies supporting this event, Virtual tours and manufacturing process videos the students can see and also a virtual panel were they will be able to interact with actual manufacturing professionals.
