Bloom Township School District 206: Bloom Township HS District 206: Manufacturing Day 2022

Manufacturing Day has become an annual event here at District 206, part of a national effort to inspire students to pursue careers in manufacturing. Launched annually on the first Friday in October, Manufacturing Day helps show students the reality of modern advanced manufacturing careers while giving them an up-close view of career options and the educational path needed to achieve them. District 206 and its partners want to encourage as many students as possible to attend. Manufacturing Day will launch with a 9:00 am kickoff assembly at Bloom High School, located at 101 W 10th St, Chicago Heights, IL 60411. Participating students will gather to hear a presentation from public and private leaders about the opportunities in manufacturing careers in the Chicago South suburbs. Students will then visit participating local manufacturing facilities to learn more about the manufacturing field. After industry tours, students will travel to Prairie State College to learn about available industry-specific training and educational resources.
