Gadsden State Community College, The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah and East Alabama Works: EQWIP -- Etowah Qualified Workforce Immersion Program

EQWIP is a one-day program that gives area educators the opportunity to learn more about local career opportunities and technical training programs. Approximately 400 educators from the Etowah County School System, Gadsden City Schools and Attalla City Schools visit area manufacturing and healthcare facilities to get exposure to different job opportunities for their students. Twenty of Gadsden State Community College's career technical programs will open their doors to the educators to talk about the technical skills and employability skills their students can learn at the College. Each teacher will visit two programs. EQWIP is a perfect opportunity to showcase economic and workforce development in Etowah County teachers, counselors and administrators.
