NEW RECORD: 1 Million Open Jobs in Manufacturing
Manufacturing job openings in the United States increased from 948,000 in September to 1,009,000 in October, according to the October 2021 Job Openings and Labor Turnover Data Survey by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. These findings represent a new record in manufacturing job openings.
“Today’s JOLTS number sends a clear message: Creators Wanted,” said National Association of Manufacturers President and CEO and The Manufacturing Institute Board Chair Jay Timmons. “With over a million open jobs in manufacturing, the NAM and MI are working to inspire, educate and empower a new generation of creators in U.S.”

Students had a blast learning by doing–and finding out how fun, well-paying and rewarding modern manufacturers are and could be:
Students also see that manufacturing has a place for everyone:
And public officials embraced the “Creators Wanted” call, so that we can help students and all Americans find pathways to great careers without the burden of massive debt.
